I can't help but feel like that trip wasn't really a babymoon at all, but some kind of mystical pilgrimage so some of that otherwordly magic could be transferred to your unborn baby. I hope that doesn't sound silly; I was thinking that every time i saw a new photo.
Did the lights appear as amazing in person, or was it one of those things that shows up more pronounced in photographs? Seeing them is a dream of mine too.
It was pretty mystical for sure, especially the lights + the fjords. I hope our baby has aurora powers and also that the Icelandic myth about pregnant women isn't true. They thought that if a pregnant lady looked at the lights her baby would be born cross eyed.
They were insane in person, moving/twisting/dancing all around. The colors in the photographs are more intense though due to the high ISO and shutter speed of the camera. But we could see that they were green and/or purple. Just not as colorful.. it was more like a crazy cloud with green coming out of it.
